Julia Child is one of the great pioneers of not only cooking show buts of making cooking fun. She has influenced me in so many ways. One being the fact that you can watch her on her show, and see her love and ease of cooking. I also love that whenever she makes a mistake, its okay I always found that very inspiring. I admired her for doing something challenging, but yet doing it with fun and pizzazz. Julia really made me realize and appreciate that cooking is just fun.
About David MyersDavid Myers is a renowned Los Angeles-based chef who captivated the attention of the culinary world in 2002 with his Michelin-starred Sona restaurant. Following Sona, Myers created one of Los Angeles first modern French brasseries in Comme Ça, featuring a beverage program that pioneered market-driven cocktails, followed by an Italian neighborhood-inspired Pizzeria Ortica in Orange County. Myers founded David Myers Group, which owns and operates the restaurants in addition to two concepts in Tokyo: a high-end patisserie called SOLA, now with four locations, and David Myers Café. In 2010, Myers made his first foray into Las Vegas with Comme Ça at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Myers culinary capabilities have been widely recognized, including notable accolades such as Food & Wine Best New Chefs in 2003, Angelenos Chef of the Year in 2004 and he was one of GQs Men of Style for 2008. |
