Whether you need a quick breakfast or an afternoon snack, the kids will be satisfied.

Its that time of year again! Time of year when kids get on the school bus in the morning with their lunchboxes and pencil cases, and arrive home around three in afternoon starving for a healthy (but tasty!) snack.
These banana bread milkshakes are my favorite afternoon treat. Theyre perfect for little tummies after school!
I recommend freezing your bananas in gallon sized plastic zip-loc bags for these. Frozen bananas reduce the need for ice (which can water down your smoothie or milkshake), and make your frozen concoction extra creamy. Just be sure to peel bananas prior to freezing!
Other ingredients in these healthy milkshakes are almond butter, skim milk and some traditional banana bread spices. They are a healthy combination of protein and carbohydrates to keep you going strong all afternoon.
I promise these banana bread milkshakes be a new favorite in your home, whether youre sending a little one off to school or not!
