Macaroni and Cheese with Cubed Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni cooked al dente, drained and chilled
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 lbs. cubed cheese

Instructions

  1. In sauce pan, melt butter and saute until very tender.
  2. Stir in flour and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Blend in milk and cook until thickened.
  4. Remove from burner and add cheese. Mix until well blended.
  5. Place macaroni in large mixing bowl and add cheese, mixing until well combined.
  6. Pour into buttered 2 quart casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
